There’s nothing in life better than a trip to the glass shop, spending the day checking out functional glass art and gazing into marbles. Talking shop with like minded people will tempt you to stay for the entire day. Nestled in a tiny neighborhood in the Shibuya district in Tokyo, Japan the Bohemian Boro Shop is the areas hottest spot for borosilicate glass collectors. So when the Glass Otaku and the IgniteMe crew heard about this “Nihon-Glass-Paradise” we we’re off to Japan to get the inside scoop.
Owned and run by Kazushi “Sanpei” Onodera the store is open from 12-9 everyday except Thursdays and carries over 700 different glass items, mostly pendants and marbles but the shop does also sell some glass pipes and glass water-pipes.
Bohemian features art from Japanese glassblowing greats like:
- Kondo Kaname studio
- Kentaro
- Azure glass
- Devotion
- Kouhei studio
- Moon Manimani
- Mono Glass
- Northern Lights
- Taiyo Glass
- Kawanishi glass
