Eugene, OR based artist Etai Rahmil was one of the first to agree to have their work featured on IgniteMe. Through this first-ever collaboration Etai’s budding glass company Chicken Coop Glassworks was ushered into it’s first ever time in the spotlight, not only putting Etai on the map but us here on IgniteMe as well. Now after it seems like ages have passed since we’ve worked with the young charismatic blower he’s back, and with him he’s brought a collection of water-pipes we instantly fell in love with. So without further to do, let’s check em’ out!
What we liked most about this line was it’s minimal take on reversal work, each piece sports worked sections in the percolator, the slide, and some feature minimal styled worked discs for those looking to spare no expense.
Etai exclaimed to us when he was first showing us the tubes “I wanted it so that people who enjoyed this worked style but previously couldn’t afford it can now, it’s just my way of doing what I would have wanted in a piece before I stated blowing glass myself”. We can’t agree more, with us being a site focused on the enthusiast we know that price points are important and can be the difference between the possiblity of owning a piece and a distant pipe dream… pun intended.
The line comes in two different variations, but there are a number of different color combinations and the possibility of getting one with or without a worked disc section is always on the table as well. Choose from either worked stemline or a worked drop down showerhead and you’re ready to go! The set comes with a worked slide meaning that this pipe is ready right when it get’s home. No stupid accessories or slides to buy.
All in all we love these tubes from Chicken Coop, we wish we had more to say about them but maybe that’s what we like about them most… Each piece is so artistic yet scientific and simple. You can find more information about Chicken Coop Glassworks on their Official Facebook Page!
