A true beacon of glassy light tucked away in the heat of Las Vegas, Gorilla Radio Smoke Shop is built on the heartwarming tale of two guys who wanted to follow the American dream… and now they live it on the daily. Best friends since grade school, owners Mark and Felix decided to follow their passion for glass by opening up a head shop in a place where not a whole lot of real head shops exist.  The store logo shows the two in caricature form, and I have to say it captures the friendly essence of the owners and their store.

Next time you come to Vegas (and you’re bound to at some point), make sure you pay a visit to Gorilla Radio smoke shop, located almost too conveniently close to the strip. They’re just east of Las Vegas Blvd., at 4225 S. Eastern #5, Las Vegas NV 89119:

Walking in, you’ll be pleasantly greeted by one or both of the owners, eager to make deals or just shoot the shit about high quality glass. One of the most impressive things you’ll see at GR is the wide variety of inventory. It’s almost overwhelming to see how many different types of pipes these guys have…. You won’t know where to start. On top of having some of the best glass around, they’re also stocked on a wide variety of clothing, hats, miscellaneous apparel and of course some ice-cold Kool-Aid to sip down when you step out of the Las Vegas heat.

Gorilla Radio is a favorite among many locals for its warm, hometown feel. Several people have raved about their semi-annual glassblowing demonstrations and giveaways (more info on which is available on their facebook page). They also stay true to their local glassblowers and carry a solid stock of from their nearby artisans.
